Le Mazel is a tiny hamlet in the Ardèche in Southern France, located just over an hour north of Nîmes and forty minutes north of Alès. It's five minutes by car west of the medieval village of Banne, ten minutes south of the market town of Les Vans and twenty minutes north of the market town of St Ambroix. Uzès, Avignon, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Nîmes, Montpellier and the Camargue are all within driving distance.
